Meat — the Immortal Tank Trust

Meat is a custom Trust: an unkillable wall that holds every enemy's attention so your party doesn't have to. Summon it, and a tiny Tarutaru plants itself in front of the fight and refuses to fall — don't let the size fool you.

At a glance

  • Where: the Void Keeper in Purgonorgo Isle (reach it with !hub) — the same NPC that grants Corvus and Gemma
  • Unlock: 50 trusts collected + 10,000,000 gil — one-time, permanent, per character
  • Role: pure tank — soaks the damage, minimal DPS
  • To summon: cast Excenmille from your Trust menu — that slot is Meat (the name Meat appears over its head and in your party list)

What it does

Meat is the ultimate meat-shield:

  • Built to not die. +20% max HP on top of level-scaled HP/DEF/MDEF, −25% damage taken, a 35% shield-block rate, level-scaled status resistance, and an ailment ward that instantly cleanses Amnesia, Doom, Curse I, Curse II. Below 50% HP it cures itself like any good Paladin.
  • It always holds hate. +200 enmity plus the taunt rotation — Provoke, Divine Emblem, Shield Bash, Sentinel, Majesty, Flash, Reprisal, Phalanx — keeps enemies locked onto Meat. The enemy attacks whoever holds the most hate, so it focuses Meat and leaves your party alone.
  • Minimal DPS by design. Meat swings only enough to keep enmity flowing — it's a shield, not a sword. Its stats grow with the TrustUpgraded server-progression variable, so Meat scales up as your character clears content.

What it can't do

Holding hate redirects an enemy's direct attacks onto Meat. Area-of-effect damage still hits the party — no taunt in FFXI stops AoE.

How to unlock

Once you have 50 trusts collected + 10,000,000 gil, travel to Purgonorgo Isle with !hub, find the Void Keeper, and bind Meat. The gil is spent once; the binding is permanent and per character — earn it once and it's yours forever.

In your Trust menu it shows up as "Excenmille" — that Trust slot was re-used, so the menu label is just cosmetic. Cast Excenmille, and the tiny Tarutaru who answers — named Meat over its head — is it.

So: cast Excenmille → get Meat.
