Glossary¶
Server-specific terms, explained in plain language.
AF Marks : Reforge currency earned by killing the Sky Gods NM pool — Genbu, Suzaku, Seiryu, Byakko, and Kirin (ladder order, entry to apex). Used to upgrade AF armor sets from base through +3.
Augment : A permanent stat bonus applied to a piece of gear by trading a catalyst to the Augment Moogle. Augments stack with the gear's base stats; a piece holds up to 5 augment lines, and each line's value is rolled within your Augment Tier band.
Augment Sage : A special NPC (in Purgonorgo Isle) whose Mastery ranks improve your augment rolls under the Augment Tier system: each rank (up to 5) raises the roll floor by +1 inside your tier's band, and the chance of a perfect crit roll climbs from 5% to 30%. Ranks unlock automatically at content milestones (Hunting League rank, Prestige level, Job Rebirths, Gauntlet clears; nothing consumed). Per-category NM affinities make matching augments roll twice and keep the better result — registering one requires Hunting League Rank 3, 250 Hunt Marks, and the NM's trophy (consumed).
Augment Tier : The content ladder that gates how strong augment rolls can be. Each of the 5 tiers owns a band of the 0–31 roll space (T1 0–5, T2 6–11, T3 12–17, T4 18–24, T5 25–31); you sit at the highest gate you've cleared consecutively. A fresh character is Tier 0 — the Moogle won't augment at all until the first gate is cleared: reach level 99 on any job. The final gate: defeat Maat's Echo (!warp > Activities).
Catalyst
: An item bought from the Augment Moogle's catalyst shop (!shop augments <group>, flat gil), then traded back to the Moogle (in Purgonorgo Isle) to write a specific augment line on your gear — up to 5 catalysts per trade, 10,000 gil flat per trade.
Daily Board
: A 3-objective board located in Purgonorgo Isle (!lib) that resets at midnight UTC every day. Completing all 3 objectives earns a bonus of 150 Hunt Marks + 50 AF Marks + 50 Relic Marks + 50 Empy Marks.
Empy Marks : Reforge currency earned by killing the Abyssea NMs pool — Aello, Iratham, Briareus, Itzpapalotl, and Hadhayosh (ladder order, entry to apex). Used to upgrade Empyrean armor sets from base through +3.
Hunt Marks / HL Points : The primary currency earned by killing Hunting League NMs. Spent at the Seals NPC on gear upgrades, consumables, and the three League medals — Beastmens Medal (bronze, 5), Kindreds Medal (silver, 15), Demons Medal (gold, 40) — costs in Hunt Marks.
Hunter's Guild : A passive reputation layer of 4 guilds (AF Hunters' Guild, Relic Hunters' Guild, Empyrean Hunters' Guild, and League Hunters' Guild) that rank up as you hunt each guild's NMs, permanently amplifying the marks that guild's kills pay — up to +100% at Grandmaster. Capstones: Trinity Hunter (+25%, all 3 Reforge guilds at Grandmaster) and Apex Hunter (+50%, all 4 guilds; supersedes Trinity Hunter).
Hunting League : The custom 5-tier NM hunting system that drives all long-term progression on the Relaunch server. Advance through the ranks Initiate → Hunter → Elite → Champion → Legend by accumulating kills and Hunt Marks.
Infamy : A premium endgame currency earned across the server's high-end content — Abyssea NM hunts, scheduled Invasions, the weekly Raid boss, the Gauntlet, and the Tournament. Spent at the Infamy Vendor (in Purgonorgo Isle) for best-in-slot gear found nowhere else.
NM : Notorious Monster — a named enemy that drops specific loot and earns Hunt Marks when killed. NMs are the primary activity of the Hunting League and Reforge systems.
Relic Marks : Reforge currency earned by killing the Unity NMs pool — Bukhis, Khun, Padfoot, Glavoid, and Tinnin (ladder order, entry to apex). Used to upgrade Relic armor sets from base through +3.
Reforge : The system of killing NM currency ladders to upgrade AF, Relic, or Empy armor from the base version through +1, +2, and +3 (300 → 900 → 2,000 marks per piece, in that set's own currency). Each upgrade tier requires more marks and is visually and statistically distinct.
Wave Master : An NPC located in Escha - Ru'Aun who spawns themed NM waves for solo or group play. Scales with party size. Rewards Hunt Marks on completion and is useful for both marks farming and combat practice.
Weekly Hunt Board : 5 rotating objectives that reset every Monday at 00:00 UTC. Objectives range from straightforward kill counts to tougher feats like speed kills and no-death streaks. Completing all 5 earns a 5,000 Hunt Marks bonus.
